BEP offers free tours on a first-come, first-served basis. Tours run every 15 minutes Monday through Friday.
Public Tours: 9:00 a.m.-10:45 a.m. & 12:30 p.m.-2:00 p.m.
Group Tours (10-50 visitors): 11:00 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. Advanced reservations required
Visitor Center Gift Shop (no ticket required):
8:30 a.m. – 2:45 p.m. September through March
8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. April through August
BEP is closed on weekends, federal holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day.
March through August
Tickets Required for tours March through August.
The ticket booth is located on Raoul Wallenberg Place (formerly 15th Street). We offer same day tickets only on a first-come first-served basis. The ticket booth opens at 8:00 a.m., and closes when all tickets have been distributed. Lines form early and tickets go quickly (especially during the first two weeks in April – Cherry Blossom/Spring Break) please plan accordingly.

You may line up at the Visitors’ Entrance on 14th Street. Please allow 45–50 minutes from the time you enter the building until the end of your tour.
